The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje says the country must remain United and indivisible, as the nation can not afford another civil war.
Ganduje made the declaration in Abuja while giving his key note address during the All Progressive Congress press corps quarterly public lecture, with the theme “Sustaining a United and indivisible Nigerian: A myth or Reality”
He noted that the struggle of the past leaders that fought for the amalgamation will be in vain if the country is divided, rather all tribes and religion should bond together for a restructured nation, adding that secessionists, agitators threatening and demanding to leave Nigeria to stop their and embrace dialogue.
The National Chairman Caretaker Extra Ordinary Convention Planning Committee, Mai Mala Buni stressed on the need to work together, Restructure and pick lessons from past experience in other to groom a stronger nation, noting that it is the responsibility of citizens to make the country more efficient and attractive.
Earlier in his address, the Chairman of APC Press Corps Jide Orintunsin said the lecture series is part of the corp’s contributions towards ensuring enduring democracy aimed at providing workable template for good governance.
Also speaking Senator Rochas Okorocha while proffering possible solutions, be said there will be peace and stability when there is justice as everyone is treated fairly beyond tribe and religion.
