Corruption: ACN petitions Bello before EFCC, ICPC, Others

Anti Corruption Network has submitted petitions to relevant agencies for onward investigation inline with allegations levelled against Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.

This is coming barely three days after the Secretary of the ACN Board of Trustees, Senator Dino Melaye told journalist in Abuja about what he described as shady dealings under the guise of award of contracts, to non-legal persons, award of contracts without due process, circumvention of procurement 
procedures, and suspicious payments made without specific breakdown.

The petition was first received at headquarters of the  the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), as the petition was also received at the head quarters of Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Embassy of the United States Of America and the British High Commission.

For them the Anti Corruption Network,  the petition will receive the desired attention and investigations will be carried out on allegations bothering on money laundering, borrowing from non-capital market, fraudulent loan, award of contracts to companies with vested interests, payment without transaction description, award of contracts to non-existing companies among  others.
