The National Chairman of the All Progresives Congress, Dr. Umar Ganduje has assured that the government has taken every step to see that all ethnic nationalities are brought in, in the management of the country.
Dr. Ganduje gave the assurance when the North Central APC Elders Forum paid him a congratulatory visit at the party’s secretariat on Friday in Abuja.
“The North Central geopolitical zone is a good example of unity and diversity, a diversity in geo political zone and diversity strides in Nigeria, so we appreciate that”, he stated.
Dr. Ganduje said Mr. President must first be thanked for appointing the Secretary to the Government of the Federation from the North Central Zone.
He further noted the party is rallying round to ensure that it hosts the different support groups and all ethnic nationalities in the government.
Pertaining to insecurity, Dr. Ganduje said the President has agreed to employ technology in the management of security in Nigeria, focusing on our forests that have become cities for bandits.
Mr. President is fully conscious of that (insecurity), he is ready to make the institutions strong – the army, Air Force, the Navy, the DSS, Civil Defense, even the NIA”.
The leader of the Forum, General Lawrence Anebi Onoja Rtd, who spoke earlier, appealed to Dr. Ganduje to carry every group or section along as a demonstration of his Transparency in Administration, noting that it will inspire trust and confidence of Nigerians in the leadership of Mr. President.
He implored him to deepen and strengthen the internal democracy of the party by bringing his wisdom, wealth of experience and peacemaking quality to unify the party.
General Lawrence Anebi Onoja also spoke on insecurity and other issues of concerns as well as canvassing for the creation of North Central Development Commission for harnessing Agriculture, Tourism, Educational and human potentials of the zone in the interest of national development.
