KIDNNAPING: NPF Parades 25 Suspects

The Nigerian Police Force has on Wednesday in Abuja  paraded criminal suspects alleged to be perpetrators of crimes ranging from kidnapping, murder, cattle rustling among others.

Speaking while parading the criminals, Police Force Public Relations Officer ,Frank Mba while explaining various cases as  been treated noted that the first case was that of a 21 year lone kidnapper Bashir  who specializes in canvassing for phone numbers of neibours with threats of kidnapping and eventually become vulnerable and gibe ransom in order not to be kidnapped. 

 According to the report by the Force PRO, he called his neighbour in Zaria Kaduna State and with his usual threats, the neighbour reported to the police and  was  eventually caught on the day the ransom was to be paid in order not to be kidnapped by his gang.

MBA added that their caught was successful because the victim was wise enough to report the threat to the department of Intelligence Response Team (IRT)and the case followed.

 Four other suspects who said to be terrorizing Ahmadu Bello University were also paraded Surprisingly, the coordinator of this gang is a security guard employed by the institution Abubakar Alliyu is responsible forgiving gang members information that will necessitate a smooth kidnap of lecturers of the university.

 In another development, a notorious gang of three led by Abubakar Yusuf were paraded, as group had a 20 year old Abubakar Ahmadu of who is the youngest and was saddled with the responsibility of recruiting new members as well as look out for suitable people to be kidnapped Abubakar Ahmadu plotted the kidnap of his own father,demanded 2million naira ransom and was given 200,000.

 Mba also paraded a seven man gang who spearheaded the killing of an immigration 1 ,his sister and the kidnap of his wife.This incident happened in Akwanga sometime in June 2020.

 Other special cases were that of a nine man gang specialized in Plateau state which had an imam ,Jafaru Umar Suleiman in their midst whose sole responsibility is the make spiritual consultations  and ascertain if itbis a good time to attack and when us the right time to retreat.

 while presenting the last case testified that throughout his years of job experience, he has not seen such gruesome act carried out with no justification.

 The case of the kidnap and killing of five year old Farida Yusuf by a gang led by Friday Dumozu which he pledged to make sure the perpetrators of the act among other crimes are meant to face the law thereby calling on citizens to be more careful and meticulous about people seen around.
