Legislative Writers Forum of National Assembly says it has concluded plans to honour the Chairman of Giwa local government area of Kaduna state Hon. Abubakar Shehu Giwa as the overall best in grass roots development among the 23 councils of the state.
In a statement signed by the organizing secretary of the forum, Mr. Ogwaje Abraham said the gesture is to celebrate the purposeful leadership of Hon Shehu for his grass roots development.
Ogwaje described Hon Abubakar as the quintessential leader whose contributions to the growth of Giwa local government remains indelible in the minds of the people.
According to him, “Hon Shehu is a bastion of knowledge and an asset to the people of giwa local government” as the award is to motivate the chairman into more service delivery even as he had executed over 200 projects across all the wards of the local government
