Nigerians have been called upon to take practical steps towards building peace in their heart and homes, especially during this Ramadan period
Mrs. Aishat Adaviruku made the call while delivering Ramadhan weekly lectures on “making our homes a heaven of peace”, organised by Al – Habibiyyah islamic society at the main auditorium of Al-Habibiyyah islamic center, Asokoro Extension, Abuja FCT.
“Look at what Jega did at the 2015 election collection center. He was calmed, and not provoke when he was confronted by Elubebe. This really saved our democracy”.
In her response, the chairperson of the occasion and former INEC national commissioner, Hajia Amina Zakari, advise men to consider women from the islamic perspective and encourage women not to allow abuses from men to deterred them from being strong for self determination.
” We need more of islamic perspective so that both men and women can co – exist as God wanted us to be”.
Earlier, in his grinned welcome speech encourage Nigerian to consider abuse and insult in good faith as precondition towards achieving God works on earth. He identify poverty, ignorant and lack of cohesion as the problems facing Nigeria to day.
“If you have not been abuse or insulted, it means you have not started the work of God”.
