Isin Local Government Council is one of the sixteen local government councils in kwara state North Central State, it was created out of old Irepodun Local Government Area in 1996 with it’s Headquarters at Owo-Isin.
Since the creation of the council, several Chairmen elected and transition Committee Chairmen had severally held sway at the helm ogf affairs of the council at one time or the other yet development was at the lowest ebb, from poor revenue generation to total lack of impactful development and dilapidated infrastructures as well as near collapse of security within Isin and it’s environs over the years.
The administration of His Excellency the Governor of kwara state Abdulrahman & who graciously appointed Hon &tg Tunde Fadipe (Lagos boy) as a transition Committee chairman of Isin local government in March 2021.
Since his assumption in office, Hon Engr Tunde swong into action to alleviate the suffering of the people of Isin local government council as critical sectors began to witness positive and monomental changes from renovation of health care facilities to the total face lift of the council secretariate, renovation of secretariate hall, electrification and repairs of transformers, repairs and provision of portable drinking water across all the wards in Isin, grading of rural and access roads across the nooks and crannies of the council.
In 2022 Hon Engr Tunde embarked on the construction of Doctors Quarters at oke -Onigbin fully equipped to discourage rural urban migration, construction of science laboratory at pamo-isin to save the life’s of his people and cutting down expenses instead going to Ilorin for medical tests.
“Hon Tunde brought joy to the people of Gaa settlement by providing open well for their water needs…in 2023 he completely electrified the council with street solar light and renovation of health care center in all the wards that made up Isin council area”.
According to him “there’s no ward in Isin local government area that doesn’t have a health care center to attend to the immediate health needs of the people because local government autonomy is in action in kwara state, thanks to the able leadership of our governor who doesn’t temper with the resource of the local government”’.
Tunde Fadipe dedication to service unparalleled and waxes stronger on a daily basis as he fought banditry to a stand still and permanently sent them away from Isin and it’s environs , in his words we bought two patrol vans , 10 motor cycles and communication gadgets for the vigilante and other security agencies to curb banditry and criminalities in the council area ,as it stands we are the most peaceful local government in kwara state.
“No wonder because of the relentless pursuit of happiness and development in Isin and the massive development in the third tier’s of government occasioned by the pragmatic leadership of Hon Tunde,His Excellency the Executive governor of kwara state Abdulrahrazag Abdulrahman paid a an unscheduled visit to the council a gave a letter of recommendations hon Fadipe for his dedication to service delivery and uplifting the downtown”
No wonder he won several awards from both private and public institutions for his Grass Roots development initiative since his assumption of office and many more awards to come.
