On the assumption of office,the chairman mitigated the rising cases of banditry and other social vices by working in conjunction with sister security agencies across the 11 ward’s in the local government to allow the people sleep with their two eyes closed.
local vigilante were also constituted to compliment the efforts of the conventional security apparatus put in place by the council chairman.
it’s also on record that Hon. Bako is the only local government chairman in niger state that took the war to the den of kidnappers and bandits, he personally led soldiers, police and DSS to the hide out of the criminals.
Outside these achievements recorded security wise,the chairman did the unthinkable by renovating the age Long local government secretariat that was created in 1976, the council secretariat was hitherto in a bad condition and practically unfit for a conducive working environment.
The total overhauling of the secretariat has endears Bello’s administration as the saviour of the masses, further more,over 86 boreholes were dugged across the 11 ward’s , he bought 40 daylong motor bikes for the village heads for efficient mobility.salaries were being paid as at when due.
Hon Bako Bello also renovated Dukku primary school among others, transformers were supplied and light restored unto several communities……
Considering the important of security the chairman did the perimeter fencing of the police station in Rijau , Rijau town hall was also giving a phase lift.
He sponsored over 140 student for Nce, he reconstructed the Rijau government secondary school as well as women empowerment, Hon Bako Bello became a household names because of his giant developmental stride and his selfless service to the people of his community..
